I started my daycare business twenty years ago because I absolutely love being around young children! I am passionate about providing families with a safe and loving environment for their children to develop and grow.
As a committed early childhood educator, my purpose is to make children feel comfortable, happy, safe, nurtured and loved while in my home.
The children provides me endless opportunities for self-expression of love, understanding, patience, warmth, creativity, fun and simple joy. Taking care of children is hard work, but they truly spice up my life and keep me feeling young at heart.

Ellen believes that providing a positive and nurturing environment will instill lessons that will last a lifetime!
As an avid practitioner of play/theme based learning, she is always looking for fun activities, games and crafts that will be interesting for infants and toddlers using a lot of materials that is readily available around the house. She also uses Funshine Express buttercups curriculum for arts and crafts designed for ages one to three years old. With a background in Business Administration and long-time business owner, Ellen runs her daycare with a healthy mix of flexibility and the predictable structure that children thrive on.
She likes to spend her free time with her two sons and husband traveling to different places, cooking healthy foods, trying international cuisines and watching movies together as a family.

"Ellen’s Daycare is absolutely amazing! Ellen provides a wholesome, clean, and safe environment for the kids. Couldn't say enough good things about Ellen's home daycare. It's a loving and nurturing place for the little ones to grow. Ellen and her staff are very caring, attentive and responsive. "Abby’s entry into Ellen’s Home Daycare this past year was a bright spot amid a stressful move and chaotic year. Our daughter has thrived in the few months she’s been there. Hers speech has improved, she’s more outgoing and she’s such a big helper with the little ones. And that is all thanks to Ellen and Jane I am impressed by the level of care and dedication these women provide, and parents get to see it all happen as it unfolds throughout the day! The app lets us see what the children are working on and documents what our child is doing in terms of naps, eating, etc. It’s a great way to communicate and reassures us that our children are having fun while away from home.
